L a t e s t N e w s A briefing of the latest event (s) and what we photographed
Sunday, 5 August, 2007, we had a group of young men from the Mid West who were avid photographers. Their point of view for creating images was incredibly fascinating as they were laying on the ground a good portion of the day. Albeit the this is the hot time of year to be here we had mild temperatures with lots of beautiful puffies (clouds). Saturday the 21st of July we did a short safari to the Oregon Trail and the Wind generating wind mills to the east of us. A very nice trip with lots of excitement since the light was fabulous and the clouds were perfect. The week of the 11th, 12th, & 13th of July, we led a group from Florida who wanted to see it all, and we obliged. From ghost towns to homesteads to Mount Hood, we traveled and photographed some wonderful subjects. As the memory cards filled we found our selves needing to down load more often than planned, yes there were that many images. 7th of July was the Photoshop CS3 class which was attended with eager to learn attendees. As it was their initial focus was primarily on layers before we covered topics that enlightened and sparked their creativity. Photoshop's CS3 has opened many doors for us and the way it now handles B&W has generated a new interest in creating digital B&W. Our Coast Retreat/safari was a small group but filled with adventure, food, and lazy afternoons. The weather was the best any photographer could hope for including some outstanding clouds (puffies). Keep checking in as the time gets closer we will be posting more information about our Venice, Italy trip. Also keep checking our other web site www.ghosttownsafari.com for more information about this event and others.
